About this dataset
This dataset is based on the analysis of the VIIRS sensor that acquires images in the Middle Infrared (MIR), with 750 m resolution (band M13 at 4.05 μm - Fire Channel) and temporal frequency of about 4-6 images per day. The Volcanic Radiative Power (VRP) is calculated using the MIR-method with a lower detection limit of about 0.1 MW. Data are processed in Near Real Time, that is within 1-4 hours from image acquisition.
